ACCEPTANCE STATEMENT It is with a deep sense of humility that I accept the Presidency of the United States Bar Association. Ever mindful of the scared and decaying reputation of the legal profession, it is painfully obvious there is much work to be done.
For many years now our Nation has been deprived of both Constitutional and representative government. Laws are no longer made to serve justice, but rather to serve the personal profit of those who make them. It has become abundantly clear that the legal profession has proceeded unchecked and unchallenged for many years, establishing a historical record of Constitutional violations and abuses against the people of the United States. These same attorneys/judges continue to make the laws, interpret the laws and enforce the laws. This is in total defeat of the spirit, the intent, and the purpose of the Constitution.
Several years ago I wrote what I perceive to be the qualities and characteristics of an effective leader. With Gods help, and with the support of the Board of Directors and members we will accomplish the task at hand based on the following precepts.
May God bless you and may God bless the United States of America.
- A leader establishes absolutes and never compromises those absolutes.
- A leader speaks with authority, based on wisdom, experience and truth.
- A leader strengthens others. A leader focuses on the objective, not the obstacles, and has the ability to move, or go around the obstacles.
- A leader leads by example, because God leads through human example.
- A leader activates and motivates people to be their best.
- A leader delegates authority because a leader recognizes the exponential impact of the "pass it on" tenets of good leadership.
- A leader exudes commitment and passion and engenders trust from others through good examples and wise judgment.
- A leader conveys encouragement and exhibits respect for other opinions by being a good and attentive listener.
- A leader brings cohesion and unity to any project based on truth and accurate analysis.
- A leader never uses terror, coercion, threats, lies. derision, back-stabbing, etc., and never allows anyone else to use these methods.
- A leader never puts himself first at the destruction and abuse of others.
- A leader considers it a privilege to assume this position and to be able to effectively and positively influence others, and accepts problems inherent to the position with dignity and grace.
- And, most of all, a leader succeeds.
